I have always had difficulty negotiating forums and finding the spot to simply ask a question from those folks who know the answers to my rather simple questions: here I go---I would like to find a source for accurate pictures of early pommel holsters for walkers, dragoons and army pistols. I am a doctor, 68, and not too proficient with computers, but I so appreciate sites like this for all the work and effort poured into them by very profecient and knowledgeable lads. I could take the answer somewhere on the site or through my e-mail tjorme@gmail.com
My son sold our rather eclectic Civil War collection to a lad in Cleveland Tn. It was deemed a great find by him as he bought the entire collection I had been working on since my youth. My son has a keen interest in the Second World War and we essentially traded the Civil War resource for period German military vehicles and a Mercedes Staff car. I really cannot fault him as he has a much greater interest in that period of history; and you cannot ride an original saddle but you can drive the vehicles anywhere. I hope this activity on my part is not presumptive; thank you for your time and attention.
