Re: Forming a cavalry squad for Manassas
Hey Jerry,
I will be happy to see y'all this summer! I did learn my suth-ron dialect down there in Jaw-ga, but it has been a log time since then, and I do live up here in the very heart of the Yankee nation! I'll be happy to git some more learnin'.
For the rest of you, I wouldn't really expect to find too much Virginia accent at Manassas (or Bull Run as we Yankees like to call it). That part of Virginia, called NoVa by those in the know, is pretty much all suburban transplants from accross the country who work for the gov-ment now.
Rob, as chief organizer, you will certainly have to host elocution and dialect classes. We can't have Virginia cavaliers talking like bayou river folks now can we?
If you come from deepest darkest MS/LA, do you feed your horses gumbo??
Take care,
