Re: on going saga of jenny trees

    Greg,
No problemI didn't mean to sound pushy.

    Zack,
I've only heard of one or two bare Aden trees coming to life in the last 4-5 years. The ones Nolan had made are still stashed here and there. At this time last year Todd Kern had 3-4 in hiding.

Re: on going saga of jenny trees

I emailed Steele about their Jenny trees right after this thread was opened and I got a pretty quick response. I'd love to see Karl develop a relationship with them. I'm like Zack, it would be cool knowing that you were practically riding a new original. LOL What someone needs to do is to see if a company like Steele could try and reproduce a quality Texas saddle like the original currently being offered on ebay that's on another thread. I'm not real fond of most of the Texas/Hope trees currently being offered. The ones being done by Francis Bowden are closer to the originals I've seen than most, but they're slow to be made and pricey. I find the Jon Watsabaugh trees to be too pricey as well.

Re: on going saga of jenny trees

Here's an update, "Hot off the press"..............

Last night, I did a mapquest of Steele's facility and as the crow flies, it is not 35 miles from my farm. I then sent them an email as an interested customer, etc. etc. This morning, Karl contacts me and said that Eric (I think the mgr there, now) called him and they had "a very promising conversation and things are moving forward". (Was it all a coincidence???? Hmmmmm, I don't know). :wink_smil I told Karl that I will still go by to eyeball the place and facilty in general and would be happy to serve as a liason as things continue to move forward.

I appreciate the emails from some of you and Ken's thorough history of the "Steele and Miller" operation. I will keep you posted as I find out more, but perhaps this will give many a supply of good trees.

        thx,
