  • A couple Ebay English saddles

Hey guys, I found a couple English saddles on Ebay and seem to be period. The first saddle is made by a Wridel and Sons of Philadelphia Pennsylvania. I did a google search for them but did not come up with any information about them. The sadde is dated 1866 by the tag on the saddle. I assume there wouldn't be much difference between this saddle and a common English saddle of the CW period?

Another English type that isn't dated, but seems to be somewhat period, at least to me. It has the forward seat. It was made for "little joe" of Baltimore, Maryland. Any opinions of the dating of this saddle?

I have one like those but it looks very military. It has extended bars behind the cantle and rings and staples all over the place als oit has several patches in the panels. It was made by Whippy Steggall of Lodon Eng. no year but a brass plate much like on the Philadelphia saddle you showed.
