  • Aligator hides

I was watching Swamp People the other night and there was a mention that aligator hides were used to make boots, etc. Anyone seen any pictures of any items made from aligator hides? I bet that would make the coolest saddle! I did a search here on this site and on Google and nada.

    Re: Aligator hides

I just did a search on Google, and I came up with this book. "Flora And Fauna Of The Civil War. By Kelby Ouchle" it is on Google books. I just saw it on the site. I hope this helps with your question.

      Re: Aligator hides

I'm going to shut this thread down:
      1) Let's not let reality TV drive the discussion here.
      2) Anyone can Google for an answer. While the absence of evidence is not necessarily evidence of absence, it is not enough to drive supposition about items that may or may not have been.
