Gents,
It's been awhile so I thought I'd post a little something. This company was also known as the Matthews Rangers and was assigned to the 1st Alabama Cavalry Batt. and the 3rd Alabama Cavalry at various points. But mostly it was the escort company for Gen. Wither's and Hindman. There is a interesting note about them having to make their own halters out of rope because leather one were "impossible" to get.
