Greetings everyone!
It's been awhile I know, I've been on something of a 18th Century kick these past few months. But for the holiday decided to post a little something. Today it's the 7th C.S. Cavalry, this regiment was formed in late 1862 with the men mostly from North Carolina and Georgia. They served in N.C. and Southside Virginia. In September 1864 the regiment was broken up, with the North Carolina companies being folded into the 16th North Carolina Cavalry Battalion, aka the 7th North Carolina Cavalry.
