Pea Ridge Adjutant Event, 25-27 Sept 15

Guys,
I have floated an idea by Jonathan Siltman regarding having a cavalry escort as part of the Pea Ridge Adjutant Event, 25-27 Sep 15. The 24th will be camping at Elkhorn Tavern and then marching the 7 miles to the event site. We would serve as escort as the column heads toward the event site. Since the Red River Cavalry piece fell out, I though this might be a good opportunity to bring authentic Federal cavalry together.

This is in the planning stages to determine if there is enough interest in the community to warrant participation. If interested, replied here or e-mail directly (wavey1us@yahoo.com)

If there is enough interest, then we can determine the exact unit, gear and uniform requirements, etc.

I know Bill Jordan has already posted on here, but the 24th Missouri is hosting the federal adjunct at Pea Ridge in September. It has really taken off to be a great adjunct, and we would like to add the experience of Cavalry. Bill came to me with the idea and I thought it would really add an extra level of immersion.
We start the living history at Elkhorn, then after we have a 7-8 mile March to the event site.
I would like to use the cavalry to support skirmishers and screen our movements on the March.

What a great idea! This would add even more realism to the march. Hopefully Bill can get enough participants to form a unit for the event.

"Adjutant event"? Will there be paper cuts and duels with Gillott 404s?

As of this moment there has been three interested: me, myself, and I. I have little response from the A/C forum or from FB postings.
