Not sure if this should be in the Research section, but...
Question for West Coast cavalry esp.:
I've been trying to research the means of the Army storing tack at west coast forts from 1855-1865. Did they store in the stables, on racks? Just getting started on this and thought you might be able to point me in the right area. Thinking or Forts along the north coast, esp. Humboldt County.
I thought I could find some photos or drawings, but most stable images are from WW I and later, it would appear. Floorplans aren't very available.
