Google Books has the 1851 Instructions for Mountain Artillery and two editions (1863 & 1865) of The Roberts Hand-Book of Artillery if you want to download the PDFs.
        Troy Groves "AZReenactor"

So, you think that scrap in the East is rough, do you?
Ever consider what it means to be captured by Apaches?

Re: Looking for the mortar & mountain howitzer drill

          Greetings:
Thanks for all the help, I do have the Robert's link, but it does not tell the positions of the men. {Maybe I missed it} I was wondering about sponging and worming. I saw a unit working their mortar in what looked like their first time. They had the darn thing on a box, by this I mean the mortar bed on a box. Things just did not appear right to me, but like I said I don't know the drill, so I kept my yap shut.
          Regards,
          Jeffrey Cohen
          P.S.
Opps, I found the instructions for the siege mortars, I was looking for info. on the 24lb. Coehorn.
