I am the QM Sargent in the 1st Missouri Light Artillery (USA) and I am rebuilding a replica 1855 six mule army escort wagon (ordnance) and I am looking for a resource that can help identify the wagon manufacturers who made these wagons for the Army. I have gotten some help from the Army Transportation Museum but nothing from the Quartermaster Museum. There is an exact copy of my wagon at Lookout Mountain Battlefield visitors center.The manufacturers mark is in the front panel of both sides.
