Looking for Government specifications for making a Large Tarpaulin as issued to Artillery. I know the size is 12" by 15". I'm looking for info on number and width of panels, size of tabling (or edge hem), number and placement of grommets, were the hand sewn grommets secured with iron or brass rings, were there corner reinforcements? There is nothing in any of the Artillery manuals or Ordnance Manuals. Is there anything in the quartermaster manual?

Re: Large Tarpaulin Questions Artillery
For anybody interested. I made one last year. 12' by 15' 6 panels of 24 oz. NO. 4 canvas. Hand stitched double seams with handsewn grommets spaced around. The weight fell right into ordnance standards.
