  • Looking for a few good redlegs

Just recently a few slots opened in our detachments for McDowell (5-6 May) and Down the Valley (16-17 June) and we want to offer the opportunity to any redlegs, infantry, cavalry who want to attend one of these events as artillerymen. (No guns are needed).

I want to address safety concerns that are rightly felt when falling in with an unknown battery. We strictly follow the National Park Service’s artillery drill. This is essentially the Hunt, Barry and French (or Andrews) drill – the same one the boys used in 61 – 65. If you don’t know it, we will train you on a position. We follow and expect anyone falling in with us to follow published event standards. Again there are a few slots for individuals.

If you are interested and or have questions please get in touch with me using this forum’s email or directly at randygil@comcast.net .
