Mountain Howitzer Packs and Tack

I have need to create an impression using a twelve-pounder Mountain Howitzer, and am trying to find a modern manufacturer of the packs and tack used to haul such a gun disassembled (see attachment).

I'm thinking I may need to just find the specs and produce my own. Any help would be appreciated.

Huwald's Battery

out of Tennessee, does, or did, do a pack impression with their mountain howitzers. I don't have any contact info for them, but they certainly had the gear, and knew how to use it both ways. My ignorance prevents me from commenting on its authenticity, but it sure looked righteous, and was lotsa fun to watch in action.

They seem to have vanished into the ether. The references, links, and images I've found all go nowhere.

If any of you have information for the Huwald's Tennessee Mountain Howitzer Battery reenacting unit, I would be surely indebted to you for the links.

Spriks Cannon Works out of Mesa, Arizona might be able to help you find what you need. They have conducted a lot of research on the Mountain Howitzer. They more than likely have copies of original plans for the pack assemble. I’m sure that you could commission them to build whatever you need. They pride themselves on authentic reproductions of Mountain Howitzer’s.

You may also want to check with Fort Tejon. I believe they have a pack saddle, etc. for a mountain howitzer.
