Been a bit quiet on the ol'e COI, so I thought I'd plant a seed and see what grows from it. I have set a few goals to reach this year in the cavalry reenacting pursuits, namely Loose weight so my horse won't have as much freight to haul, Stream line my kit even more...so my horse does't have so much freight to haul. And do my best to inspire the reenactors I am around to start defarbing . I will never be bold enough to claim I know anything, but the public knows less and what is being potrayed as civil war life is embaressing. All the more reason I am glad for the COI, folks who are ready to give a darn , have another fine place to get insight and info. My other big goal is to make at least two national events this year...Shilo and one to be named later. Won't be able to make Ft Donaldson. :cry_smile:cry_smile plm

Re: New years resolutions
Paul,
Those are good and solid goals and everyone (regardless of how long you have done this) should share those. Also, thanks for your attitude on these matters. The mindset that "we're always learning" is (as they say on the commercial), "Priceless."

Re: New years resolutions
For what I have for goals this year is, start doing first person at events. I wanted to do first person last year, but I did not have enough experience. Now I am ready to attempt it. Groom my hair in a period style, so I can look more like the soldiers of the time. Learn more literature from that era. Learn more period skills. And just learn more about the soldiers and civilians.Philip D. Brening
