    Doug Kidd said he could put the brass trim on the pommel and cantle and ship it back to me for $125. Or he can make a removable seat pad for $100. Either way, I'd have to send him my saddle.

    Dave, since I'm told that you made my saddle, how did you blacken the saddle rings? They are turning bright silver on me. Besides that, I've gotten many compliments on it. Very good work, sir.

      The saddle rings were stripped of their nickel plating and japaned . I would hate to see you ruin the saddle by sending it to Doug Kidd.

        No worries. I meant that as the procedure to get either done, I would have to send it to him. But shipping my saddle off isn't something I'm comfortable with doing.
