Great info about the current repros available. I really can't wait until their new version comes out.

Can someone give me the link to the '53 Enfield on World Wide Swords? I saw everything on their website except the '53.

This is listed second from the top under the CIVIL WAR Swords section on their site.

          Larry,
If you are looking to buy one, I would contact them about their new "improved" repro they are working on. As Christopher posted here, their current reproduction is based off the model issued to the Indian Troops which differs from the standard model that was imported by the Confederacy.

Thanks. I'll email them and see if they've done any work on their "improved" version.

I see that Discriminating General also carries the 1821 English saber. Is there any provenance or evidence that it was imported to the Confederacy in any quantity? It seems to have been more popular than the '53 from what I can find.

                Update on "improved" 1853 saber:
We gave up on WWS as they were totally non responsive but I am now working with another maker who is extremely interested in getting it right. No promises but we sent him an original to copy and he is beginning the process. I will keep you all updated as this progresses
