Greeting everyone
I just purchased an 1842 Austrian carbine, with percussion conversion 853 on the lock plate. My question is that type of Carbine lanyard was used for this weapon? I am in Iraq right now so my only source of research is online and I keep coming up with blanks or reference only on the slide and ring (which the gun has). I don’t want to use the incorrect type since I am working on a higher level of standards and I am portraying a Confederate Cavalry (with a horse) in the Western Theater when I am on R & R.
Thank you for your time.
