Friends! I am happy to announce that our discounted rate for the Vicksburg Preservation March is OPEN! The cost to register is now only $100, but it will only last for the next 72 hours!! Spaces are limited. Don't miss out!!!

For those interested in attending, but unable to complete the whole march, we do have an opportunity for you to jump on at the "halfway point." You would need to arrive by Thursday, May 21, near Raymond, MS. You will still have the opportunity to experience the battlefields of Raymond, Champion Hill, Big Black River Bridge, and Vicksburg. Folks! We have already filled several of our slots on the discounted rate! I will update the registered list later tonight. You have until Sunday morning at 10 a.m. to get in on the rate of $100!!

Now, I wanted to address one of questions that I received over the last couple days. There is an opportunity for folks who are unable to attend the whole event to join us at the half way point. We will be encamped for one whole day (Thursday, May 21) at Dean's Store, which was Grant's Headquarters during the Battle of Raymond. We have access to parking on private property near the battlefield. Participants will be shuttled over to our campsite. This will allow folks to complete the march from Raymond to Champion's Hill, on to Big Black River Bridge, and to completion at Vicksburg National Military Park. The total mileage for those that jump on at this point is 30 miles.

Price to register is the same as those who are attending for the full week. Please don't miss out!!

Friends! We currently sit at 32 of our 60 slots filled!! We have just under 24 hours until the close of our discounted registration fee, so please get your friends off the fence and registered!

To add a little more incentive for you, we will have a sutler following along with the column for the entire march, as per the original accounts of the 42nd OVI. Our very own Ben Jenkins has graciously offered $25.00 worth of sutler chits to be raffled off at the conclusion of registration!
