Alright, folks! We’re excited about this one. For those in this region of the country, Perryville has always been a familiar place and an important part of our upbringing in the hobby. There hasn’t been an authentic living history program at the battlefield of any sizeable scale for over a decade. We’re changing that.
Our civilian coordinator, Liz Landrum, pitched this event idea and we’ve been pouring over everything we can to create a quality experience for you. Lots more to come. For those that haven’t been to Perryville, it’s a great site that has benefitted from strong preservation efforts in recent years. And we will further contribute to those goals.
Be on the lookout for impressions guidelines in the coming months. These will be strict and all participants will be required to meet them. The 79th PA trekked from Nashville to Louisville where sources note they drew clothing less than two weeks before being engaged with the rebels in Kentucky.

Reveille at 5 o'clock. I drew a white shirt from the government & colored it with green walnut hulls & made it snuff color. We moved our camp nearer town at sundown.”
