For those of you heading to Perryville, make sure to stop by and partake of the authentic period entertainment offered at the brand new Mockingbird Theater Company tent. We will feature the Wahoo Indian Medicine Show, the lovely Singing MilkMaids and the world famous Allendale Melodians. The melodians will feature a new show and unveil its newest members. In addition to this there will be dramatic readings by Artemus Ward. Entertainment will be provided all day as well as the variety show in the evening. Come one come all.

      Rick,
You should get Zimmerman to show you a few dance moves. Who knew those big feet of his could move in such ways!

He showed me, but I didn't think he was dancing. Maybe we'll stick him at the door as our big dutch bouncer.

            Mr. Beasley!!

I hope this means that you will be there.

I'll be washing dishes in a somewhat disreputable tavern only yards away.

Re: Come See the Show at Perryville!!

                    Ahem!,

Let me make a few things clear about the Tavern, and the rules under which it must operate.

Since this event is on Kentucky state property, we must operate under rules set forth by said folks--and those rules imposed some strong limitations on our operations.

First, we can't operate as a food/drink vendor. There can be no posted price list. Anything you see to eat or drink there is because we have laid it out and are nice folks. Pretty girls will be there to pour whatever we have into your cup. At certain limited times of the day, there will be pie.

There will be a TIP JAR. Y'all know what stuff costs. That tip jar will take period money (change your money at the bank next door), AOP sutler chits, and if need be Modern Cash

Remember too that the feller behind the bar, dressed up as your basic 19th-century Kentucky tavern keeper, is more at home in the 18th century, winning axe-throwing competitions. ;)
