I'm pretty sure that Hoosiers can be lured with pie... specifically pecan pie. :D
Terry would have to have us Georgians bring some REAL pecan pies for the event. And that is PEEECAAANS not PEEECAUNS (for all you Northerners).
Isn't funny how folks say "I would love to do this or that at an event" and then when folks offer an opportunity like Outpost you don't see them. I'm looking forward to this event as it should be much more fun than this cyber-reenacting.
[QUOTE][/I'd love to come and join you, but 1036 miles by oneself is a bit of a drive and I'm not good at flying to an event since I've never had to get a musket on a plane- kinda late to do so anyway.
QUOTE]
I had the same situation when I attended BGR. Flying with a musket is not a big deal. I purchased a plastic case at Bass Pro Shop for about $23.00. FAA only requires that you have a locked case and that you declare it. I was suprised at the ease of the whole ordeal. I also posted on the forum for ride share from my point of arrival. I had multiple offers. It all worked out great and I met some great people along the way.
I strongly encourage you to look at air fares and put out the word, you'll be surprised at the response.

Veterans would tell of Sherman's ordering a flanking movement and instructing a subordinate how to report his progress: "See here Cox, burn a few barns occasionally, as you go along. I can't understand those signal flags, but I know what smoke means"
Thanks for the great quote! I had to add it to my signature line. All kiddings aside. Jim is 100% correct. This is a great oppurtunity to go to an event that offers a lot more than the usual. Take a chance and sign up to attend in one of the fine Federal companies that have been raised. I don't think you'll regret it.
Terry has just offered to pick up any federal no matter where they live for Outpost. E-mail him and he will be by.
I will have gooseberry pie, with cream and coffee.
