The event committee would like to thank the NPS workers (Ben, David & Joe) for their tireless efforts on Saturday, April 12. Ben (Law Enforcement) was asked several time to pull out the shotgun so it looked as though the miscreants working at the awful dump site were working off their community service.:)
We would also like to thank Nick Medwig (IVR) who came out on his day off to help move some of the most disgusting trash I have ever seen. From beginning to end he busted his bottom.
With the nine of us, a 30 yard roll-off, small dump truck and a tracked "Bobcat", 87 tires, almost three tons of steel, eight demo bags of glass and about 30 50 gallon trash bags of garbage were collected. While there is much left to do in those woods we made a fair dent.
See you all next weekend.
