Special notices for Marmaduke’s Company F (Federal) Issued 4 Sept
Bring 100 rounds along. 40 in their cartridge box, 20 in on your person and 40 for the ammo box.
We need to furnish 2 axes, 2 shovels and 2 hatchets. All with carrying scabbards or something to sling them with. We will be building a fort and that will take tools. Also each company should furnish a coil of strong rope at least 75-100 feet long.
Please notify Sgt. Andy Ackeret if you can help with one or more of these items.
This campaign will not be a strenuous one as far as marching goes, but pack like it was 1863.
Bring shelter halves with you, we will be using them. Each man should have at least one extra pair of socks, and the personal items that made a soldiers life functional.
We will be having company cook fires and rations will be cooked by details from each company with our commissary Sgt supervising.
We go live on Friday afternoon. We will be in an immersion mode after that. Modern speak if done will have to be done away from others and first person will be respected. There will be no talk of kit, events, football, etc... This is an immersion event and will be so until we leave on Sunday morning. If there is an emergency then that is different. Please make sure that you put all medications and car keys in period containers.
Please bring a letter on period stationary, so mail call can be given out. These will be collected at registration.
Company F is the smallest as of now we would like to have a few more with us. Please ask those you know to attend with you. We are making arrangements for late arrivals to be brought into the event.
