    Chit exchange - Federals

    We will be doing a chit exchange on thursday eveneing and Friday morning. $1.00 period = $10.00 modern cash. It appears the logistics for us will be placement in the federal fort.

    We will be bringing a limited stock. If there is anything anyone would like us to bring please let us know and we will pack it. We will have stock avaliable thursday night and friday morning at registration (also where you can exchange for chits).

    I'm Federal for that weekend, but I know our grey friends might want to know how they might be able to access your wares during the event. During parlay perhaps?

    I'm interested in the Gates matchsafes. Will you be using shinplasters/fractional currency/coin/sutler token (al la W64) for denominations below 10 dollars?

      Mrs. Crabb has notified me that a fine 2x4 cup and pie plate (but no PIE!!!?) will await. Thank you ever so much for arranging this with Mr. C. I will telegraph the necessary funds so that I am included in your ledger account as it is only a slim chance I will be on the grounds early enough to make an exchange of modern $ for 1860s chits. Drat!

        Yes there will be lower denominations. I was just giving the exchange rate.

        Look forward in seeing all that attend the event.
