I am absolutely jazzed about this event and how unique it is beginning to look.
Most events you have a CS and a US side only. Looking at the registration, there's going to also be civilians, "Mossbacks", mounted cav, etc. Should provide for some interesting dynamics as all the different groups ineract and collide. Will also probably reflect the true state of affairs in Missouri or other areas somewhat considered 'away from the main action', (lol).
This will have some great first-person opportunities and atrocities all-around! I really fear for the civilians more than anything.... Although, when it's all over they may have the most 'period moments.'

But now take a look at this excerpt I found in Marmaduke's Order Book for late 1862 to mid-1863, when he was in Arkansas and Missouri. The Order Book is in the collections of the MO Historical Society. It's a large lined journal, with various hand-written & printed orders pasted onto its pages.
Special Order No. 76

For every deserter arrested after this date, and brought to these Headquarters, the sum of Thirty Dollars will be paid to the citizen or soldier making the arrest.
If any deserter shall attempt to evade the arrest, or attempt to escape after being arrested, it is enjoined upon all persons to put him to death without hesitation; and, in such case, on proof of the fact, the same reward will be paid as if he had been delivered up alive.

I too have registered and paid and am already anxiously anticipating the event. Now I just have to persuade the rest of the Flatlander’s to do the same. I guess I have a few months yet.
Count another Georigan's registration in the mail. Joel, did you let the rest of the Flatlander's in on my bounty offer?? :D
Add a Tennesseean to that list ! Herb, I got mine in for your dismounted company as well. As was discussed, maybe we should add a few of those bear claw necklaces in with the bounty. That should really fire up those "Pie Company" veterans.:D

Now we are talkin'. I am sure there will be a few more Bowie knifes and a few more smaller caliber pistols hidden here or there. A little surprise for Billy Yank.
If Omar Khadafi [sp?] can change his "line of death' so can I.

The Civilian quota is full pending registration and payment of those already on the list.
This is the definitive cap on participants and can be raised no higher.
