Re: Company E looking for a few Good Men

    Gents,
Im proud to announce that at as of today we have 15 men signed to serve in the "Gumbo" company. I guess I'll call it that cause you put anything in de pot dat dont move den you boil it up good and when it stops moving dats supper time.:tounge_sm (sorry thats my attempt at creole) But if you have never tasted rhubarb its the sourest thing you will ever taste. Much sugar must be added to acheive an eatable balance. Well done comapny E! At this pace we should have no trouble reaching our target of 40 by May. Lets get those registrations in ONV we need to plan ahead.
    Cheers

      Terry,

Count me in, I'll be sending my registration in by the end of the week.

Also, I'll be sending that OTHER registration in that we talked about on the phone!

          To all,

Chicken Man just called, he said he ran over a Roux-Barb around Lubback, Texas...said it tore his truck all up.

I asked him if he got out and gutted it out...he said..it was dark and it got away.

Did Chicken send in his registration packet?

For those of you who don't know, Chicken man is the 'Shock' troop of our outfit! He's also handy in a rain storm. Isn't that right Dale?

Happy Mardi Gras! (Do Yankee's celebrate that?)

                  To all,

I forgot....Chicken Man said he was going to give up Roux-Bard for Lent...I told him I did not think it counted as a sacrifice.

What do you "Real Yankees" think? Should we allow Chicken to give up Roux-Barb for Lent?

That depends...Does Roux-Bard taste like fish or chicken? I'll call the bishop for some clarification!

ZULU rolled this morning with no problems. Rex has entered the City and will be on St. Charles Ave. shortly. He should dine with Comus tonite on Canal St.!

New Orleans: noonday report "The Times" Pic.org

Roux-Bard was thought to have been the cause of the delay of the Zulu-parade. "Several packs of Roux-bard were spotted under the bridge near Carolliton Ave" according to Sunpie Barnes, National Park Ranger by day Zydeco musician by night.

"They be everywhere, and it was nottin we could do" said Sunpie. Mounted New Orleans Police were called in and they opened fire killing two dozen Roux-Bard. Lousiana National Guard was called in to identify the creature.

"New Orleans Public Works were called in to remove the bodies, but they will probably rot before that happens" said Sunpie.

Just got a call from Sunpie, he's calling in the 16th La Inf to quell the ruckous...I told him he'd have to go direct and contact Gov. Painchback for the final orders to go ahead and assault the Rubarb headon.

Stand fast to your stations, the rubarb is on the loose and till we can get a handle on em we'll have to ask the women and children and faint of heart to stay away from the the Rubarb.

Just got woid that the ZULU' have had the devil wid da Rubarb...they need help. Come on who's registered.

                          Capt. Danis,

We will not be able to form up till Thursday, seeing how Ash Wednesday is tommrow.

Bad news, the TSDT (Texas Department of Transportation) is holding Chicken, seems that Roux-barb that he ran over...is an endangered species protected by Native Americans Protection Laws. AND it seems his Lumper (loader in trucking terms) is an illegal.

On a side note to the notorious RhuBarb demon of De Bayou, I have arranged it so each man Company E will be receiving a Corps badge and every officer a officers Corps Badge. So please bring your sewing kits. These will be on me and will be made by BJ Zirkle.
                              Onward ompany E!
