Re: Company E looking for a few Good Men

Leaving New Orleans Sunday afternoon, I crossed over Canal, did a U-turn and was getting back on the high-way. To my left, under the bridge, I noticed hundreds of tents...many of you know where I am talking about...it is where the homeless have been camping since the storm.

I saw a man standing by a 4-way stop holding a sign saying..."Will work for Rouxbarb"

Now, I know this may be considered "Modern Day Politics", but I was reading in the newspaper of how the "Rouxbarb Party" in WI, turned the election yesterday up in the Cheese State.

Get you money in guys....we have plans to make.

Is the preference going to be knapsack or blanket roll? Personally, I always like to carry a knapsack, but I'm considering the blanket roll for less weight. Afterall, I probably only need a light blanket, perhaps a shelter half, and a ground cloth. These could easily be carried in the blanket roll. However, if the preference is knapsack, I can do that.

Knapsack, and forage cap is prefferable in Company E. We should have a slight mix but still maintain a knapsack majority.

The main question is "Can you carry Rouxbarb in a blanket-roll"?

I hope everyone brings their forage cap. It's very impressive to see a large company for Federal troops with a uniformed appearance! Confederate troops were not as uniform in appearance, which looks sloppy and unorganized. However, there were reasons for this!

                      Captain Sorchy,

Will there be a specific Company E uniform/equipment list provided?

                          Dennis,

Would that qualify as an animal part or are you telling me Rouxbarb is a plant?

Rouxbarb can have a lot of green on them, so you could be mistaken at a distance for Irishmen...
