There seems to be an astounding degree of confusion about inserting 2007 events into the calendar nearly a whole year after the time to submit events. Adjuncts and carpe eventums in the are reluctantly accepted for inclusion in the appropriate folder this late in the season, with a particular eye towards any conflict that may arise. Stand alone events, especially stand alone events that weren't submitted for so much as a placeholder during the Jun-Aug Phase I or Sep-Oct Phase II process, are at a definite disadvantage, and those tardy announcements conflicting with Top Tier events already on the calendar aren't going to be looked upon favorably. This is only fair to those organizers who have gone through the lengthy process. Feel free to post last minute announcements on any number of other CW forums.
Fact is, we should be spending our June-August time discussing 2008 events, and then making preliminary selections in the September-October timeframe rather than slapping events on the calendar all willy-nilly.
This process has changed very little in 11 seasons.
