We still have a number of slots open for Federals at this event. If you are coming, please take a minute to send in the registration. There's no money involved so it's pretty painless.

I am growing rather tired of receiving solicitations in my mailbox for sexual aids and various pills and methods to enlarge certain parts of my anatomy and make me the dream of all women.

Instead, I would much rather see some registrations for the event coming in.

So help a guy being inundated by spam and give him something worth reading. Go ahead and get that registration in.

More ifnormation than we needed about yor persoanl life! I too would like to encourage ACP reenactors in the area that have the impression to come on out. We will promise to try to make it meaningful and as corect as possible . I see theis as a great cahnce to do a living history in an area that few of us have much experience with.

We can use some more private soldiers gentlemen. It takes some numbers to keep General Pope safe from the surrounding hostile population.

If you are sitting the fence, here are some things that will be taking place: 24 hour camp guard, prisoner guard, headquarters guard, bayonet drill, ammo distribution and firing drill, basic drill, fatigue details, pay call, church call, mail call, sutler, civilians that don't like you, inspections and more.

In short, we are going to duplicate a typical day that Pope's escort may have went through. You'll occupy the grounds of a wealthy slaveholding family that aren't very thrilled to see you. You'll experience what a member of an early war occupation/garrison force experienced. It will be a full day and a half. I think you'll find this an enjoyable good event with small details that are often overlooked that should enhance the time you spend here.

So, get those registrations in so we planners know what we're dealing with. Emails to registrants will be going out soon to give more background on the scenario and other info you'll need to know.

I'd just like to point out that registration is the cost of gas to the event and back. For a college kid, that's a hard deal to turn away. Ah.. another spring break, another LH.
