            We've still got a slot for you if you want to come play. Be glad to have you and you're just up the road. Other than that, it should be in the Standard-Democrat. The original schedule is on my other computer which no longer is on internet, but I will make a copy and send it to you. Public hours will be from 9-4:30 on Sat. and 9-1 on Sunday.

                        Yeah, they did use a balloon with Foote's fleet. In fact, not only was it the first use of a balloon during the war but it was launched off of one of the boats so it's the first naval use of a balloon also.

                        The balloon made two ascensions. First one was no good due to the weather. Second one was good and was able to adjust the mortar fire to be more accurate in hitting the fortifications.
