Pards,
The Obejoyful Mess is thinking about hosting a Living History at Vicksburg National Military Park this summer possibly in the Middle of June or July.
This Post is to see how much interest there would be for this kind of event.
The Impression would be the 20th Alabama and we would be in Square Fort (aka Fort Garrett)
Rations could be provided at a nominal fee, (maybe $10 a person if that) and would consist of pea bread and possibly salt pork/ boiled beef/rat.
During the day we would be doing presentations for the public about how life was for the Confederate soldier during this siege and At night there would be picket duty and such.
All suggestions are welcome and encouraged.
Let me know if any of ya'll would be interested. Thanks
