    Questions about the federal impression:
    Greatcoats? Yes or no?
The guidelines mention shelter halfs, which type?

having been there the last go round....I would say yes to the coat.I would not wear it while we are moving but as soon as we stop and make a post for the night it would serve you well.It was 17 at night when we did it last year and we did not have any overcoats since we were CS.As for the shelter half .I don't know that you will really need it but I would bring whatever one you have just as a extra cover at night.

Regarding Shelter Halves. The event is portraying the Winter of 1862-1863, after the Battle of Stones River. Shelter Halves were initially issued starting in the Spring of 1862. These were the 3-panel versions. The later war versions were two panel constructions. Knowing this... and considering the event scenario, the three panel style is more correct, however... given the extreme climate conditions (last year the high was bout 19 degrees at this site at this time of year) either version of shelter halves will be welcome.

Greatcoats are welcomed and highly prized, but I doubt we will need them this year as I am calling for high 60's and lows in the mid high 40's, with lots of sun! I apologize that I havent put more in depth FED requirements-I had those on my thumbdrive from a previous event, and the people that have been asking for invites, really need no guidance. If there are any questions, please email me(rangernparadise@hotmail.com) or the appropriate commander and we wil be glad to answer to the best of our abilities. However, dont bother asking about the scenerio-the Commanders know nothing more than you, and I will will devulge no more info than I have already. Thanks for all the support and response, this is purely an "AC community" event-literally. I will do my best to ensure that there are enough suprises for everyone to take home a few good memories.

It's that multiple personality thing. I'll be on one side and my other personality - Little Stevey - will be on the other. I pity whichever side gets Little Stevey. :confused_

I offered to go Fed to help with the numbers if needed. Just let me know which side I'm actually on and I'll do it. There's plenty of fellows on both sides I enjoy spending time with.

Actually, I probably ought to stay Confederate since I've got a buddy coming to do that side with me and we're going to be spooning pards.

Ya'll give Eli a break.. if it's a break you're not giving him. Otherwise.. I will tell you that the number of those who have made some verbal commitment more than make up for those double listed names. That's great!

O.. and Eli.. I sure hope you're right about the above freezing temperatures.. that would be a godsend!

I would be that spooni'n pard of which Mike speaks. He kept me warm at BGR and once you cozy up to a man a bond is formed. It's a little awkward the first time but afterwards it's all downhill. If Mike is needed on the Fed side I will give him permission to be a traitor to my beloved South providing Eli's promise of it being in the 60's and low 40's pans out.
