Is it very heavy on first person accounts ?

I can't do the event in reality.....but I can dayumsur be the best researched day dreamer of the whole lot. I am about to start Dolly Barge's diary in the interim.

Eric,are thongs going to be issued to the troops,or do we have to provide our own?

Joe Browns pets is a great read.It does have alot of first hand accounts and tons of background info.I want folks to read it so I won't say any more.

No thongs will be issued however we may issue rope.So folks can make one if they wish:wink_smil

Excellent !!! I am really excited now. I have read and/or own everything else on y'alls list. (We actually briefly met at last year @ Chickamauga...I was the loser who was camped out alone reading in Longstreet's mid-day 9/19/63 HQ spot - I am envious of your niche in such a great org like the WIG...really).

If your plans develop an opportunity (however brief) to view some of this event, even if along a road or anything to catch a glimpse of top tier "Bummers" in Ga on the anniversary...wow ! History nerd heaven.

Please let me know...it is not that far for me.

Now Pat, people are perfectly welcome to wear their thongs for the entirety of the event. We realize how integral the thong is to the comfort of the living historian and would never intentionally compromise the well-being of anyone attending Bummers. Of course, Kiev's comment about rope did make me wince a bit. :D

We have hired local "scouts" for the Federals to make sure that they stay on course during the event. A photo of one of our scouts in action is attached. ;)
