    Folks,

I am now only accepting mercenaries, known trouble makers, and midgets in my company. Anyone other Militia Minded gent not fitting that desciption should look to the other gallant companies for a place in line to help stem the tide of the Blue Horde.

For those Pards who had not already heard, regarding the co-author of "Joe Brown's Pets":

      William Scaife has passed on

Just learned that Mr. William Scaife died last Monday. His contribution to the study of the War between the States has been enormous. His maps and books are priceless for serious researchers. Personally his maps and books have made my efforts to record the lives of men in the 7th Mississippi and their time in Georgia and Tennessee much simpler. He was a true Southern gentleman and will be missed by all who knew him and have access to his works. We will miss you Mr. Bill.
His obituary can be found on page B7, Atlanta Journal Constitution, August 21, 2009 or at ajc.com

        Gents:

I am producing a limited run of bayonets for double barrel shot guns copied from an original that I collected in 1978. Contact me off list if you are interested. Even if I provide the materials, they retail for under $100.00. If you plan to carry a shot gun for either Bummers or any early war event, this unique item is for you! By the way, they also may be fixed to a .69" or turned country rifle barrel with very little adjustment.
