Now remember that any good commander makes any kind of promise even if keeps it or not, just as long as he tries. I know that Co.D will be well taken care of and not led to its death but only to victory against Sherman Incendiaries.

How dare they come to Georgia, there are kind folks at the Chuckwagon that will be rightly excited when Sherman comes to town. There will be all you can eat CAT-fish.

So come down with the D. Mr. Comer needs your help, so stop the shirkin and fence sittin and join up and fight with both barrels.

By my count we have 205 Federals registered compared to 54 Confederate. Now, while the militia should be outnumbered, this is a bit ridiculous.

Now 224 to 76, Mr. Comer. Uncle Billy is comin' boys. There will be plenty of stray Bummers to pick up lest they wander too far from the column. All hell will break loose in Georgia.

Come on boys - we need more militamen to be able to round up all these pilgrims that will be wondering around like lost lambs in the Georgia woods. And as I've said before - we won't be any pushovers and that's a promise! Even though there were old men and young boys in the militia, there were also a lot of veterans and men with military experience.

I'm telling you, the militia is going to be where it's at. Don't miss it.

That sounds great but we'll still have plenty of room. I've had a number of fellows contact me about joining the company but haven't seen their registrations yet. Hopefully, they'll take care of that pretty soon.

Well boys, we still need recruits. I have talked to a number of fellows who say they are going to be in the company but I'm not seeing the registrations show up on the list. I ask you to go ahead and get those in gentlemen. As company commander, I would really like to see who we have and have those contact points to start some communications with you all.

If you haven't signed up with any company but want to come along as militia and harass, capture, torture and kill Yankee foragers, then join up with Co. D. It will be a fine time I guarantee.

Well boys, there's still plenty of room in this company. We've got a cap of 30 and it would be great to make that number. So, if you're still vacillating (big word for a cracker huh?) and wondering who to fall in with - then Co. D is the one for you.

Clay-Eaters Monthly and Cracker Digest have both rated this company with 5 stars when it comes to true Georgia Militia/cracker behavior and attitude. This is the real thing folks - accept no substitutes. Now some may think that those other companies are more authentic because they've got real Georgia boys in them but, see, they're just pretenders. Just because I'm from Missouri and our 1st Sgt., Dave Parent, is a Michigan boy don't mean we don't know what it takes to be a cracker - we've had lots of practice at it. And don't forget our 2nd Sgt., Frank Perkin. He's worth the admission price alone. Plus, there's a town in Georgia named Comer, and there's a Comer House in Savannah that even old Jeff Davis stayed in. And Dave and Frank have both been to Georgia. So see, we got Georgia in our blood too.

Very good point Rick. However, it must be emphasized that you are absolutely, beyond the shadow of any doubt, THE very best Jonah that anyone could ever hope to come in contact with. That alone, makes it worth joining the company.

Well, as of today our 18 man Co. defending the state of GA. consists of 10 Michiganders and at least 3 Missourians that I know of. You true sons of the South are you going to leave it to us to defend your homes and families from Shermans savages or are you going to rally to the cause?
