Want Your Image Struck? If you are interested in having your image taken at Bummers, Todd Harrington and Wendell Decker will be offering wet-plates both before the event goes live on Friday and afterward on Sunday. Todd is doing the Federal side and Wendell, the Confederate side.

Hello All,

I plan set-up late in the day Thursday and open for images first thing Friday morning, running until the event goes live and then we'll be again open on Sunday after the event ends.

I'm not sure exactly where Kiev wants me to set-up, but his instructions are that I will be near the Federal staging camp/area.

I will be offering my hand-japanned iron sheet image stock for correct ferrotypes as well as clear and ruby glass for ambrotypes in 1/4, 1/2, 5 x 7, whole and 8 x 10 plate sizes. I am also trying to get a few of my image cases completed in time for the event as well.

Just wanted to remind everyone that Wendell Decker and I will be set-up to make wet-plate images at Bummers. I will be near the registration area/Federal camp. Wendell will be set-up in the CS camp area.

Just In!! Veteran wet-plate artist, Bob Szabo will be joining Wendell and I at Bummers. Bob will be set-up with Wendell in the CS camp.

Please let us know if you have a group image request ahead of time so one of us can make it happen.

Well I can only speak for my own image prices. I will ask Wendell and Bob to post as well:

Ferrotypes (Tintypes)
1/6th or 1/4 plate $40
1/2 plate $50
5x7 $70
Whole plate $80
8 x 10 $100

Ambrotypes
Clear glass - add $10 to above
Ruby Ambrotype - add $15 to above

Group images (5 or more) - Inquire

Because we'll have limited time to make images....yes that would be a good idea. I should be able to start by 8am and will probably run out of light by 5pm unless its excessively dreary and dark.

1/6 Plate-$30
1/4 Plate-$40
1/2 Plate-$50

To answer an inquiry about groups of 5 or more, here's what we do: Group images require a minimum print (8 x 10 $25 ea. ppd) order in addition to the original plate cost. Prints are done by a lab on quality archival paper

For groups of 5 to 9: 4 prints plus the original image plate cost. (minimum plate size is 1/2 plate). If 8 prints are ordered, the original image plate is free

For groups of 10 and above: 8 prints plus the original image plate cost. (minimum plate size is whole plate). If 12 prints are ordered, the original image plate is free

We take all paid print orders at the time of the image. Please allow 2 to 3 weeks for delivery of the prints after the event.

We can also do larger prints sizes (16 x 20, etc)
