Don't burn-down the houses... if it rains, take shelter in them.

To be fair, it should be warm and humid to start the event so people can drop from the heat and then it should turn cold and wet so people can drop from that. Ox has promised to go down with a twisted ankle at a pre-designated remote location. I have been taking medication but will stop the day before the event so I can go down with an apparent heart attack. I hear that Ranger Dusty has been hired as the medical evacuation specialist and will be too busy with his Natchez springwater and have his radio on the wrong channel and be unable to respond to any emergency. It should be fun.

The only thing I'll say about rain or what ever. The good Lord blesses with water. So if there is rain showers sprinkles or the like it will then be a "Blessed event" Rain or no it still will be a great event.

All forecasts are worthless now because of that hurricane heading into the Gulf Coast next week. Like Johnny said, they are only accurate for a day or two anyway.
My wish is for a deluge of rain Friday, followed by 85 degree sunny weather that will create a hot steam bath and cause all the pies to ferment and make the roads-pig trails impassable for rain p****s.

I live less than 50 road miles from the front gate of Camp Thunder and must say that we are in the midst of Indian Summer. It is usually one degree cooler there than here in Harris County, and I wore a t-shirt yesterday and today to work in my shop. If you would like another look at the weather, take a look at weather.com, put in "Woodbury, GA", and marvel at the perfect weather for this event. It is projected to be a high of 83 degrees and sunny today! Don't worry, it will cool off before next Friday and rain on Tuesday night (a blessing from Ida?). If you are in the sun, you will strip down to a shirt if you're out hunting Yankees. It do get nipply at night, though. Remember, we can snuggle up to a wood fire, but cannot medicate with firewater on the Scout Camp. Soldiers, militiamen, bushwackers, deserters, contraband, refugees should bring plenty of char cloth for their flint and steel, as matches are non-existant for years in the South and much of the tinder will be moist.
