I have been asked what the policy on cameras at the event will be. Here it is. If I see a camera once the event starts, I will ask you to put it away. If I see it again, Sgt. Major Ox Johnson will arrest you, buck and gag you, body slam you if you try to run, and smash your camera beneath his little tiny foot. This only applies to the Confederates since that is who I will be with. If Marse Fred wishes to give his guidelines for camera use on the Federal side, he may do so. You can take all the little pictures before the event starts and after the event ends you wish. If you need pictures to remind you that you were there, you probably don't need to be there in the first place. Just saying. Have a nice day.:)

Re: Cameras
I second this. The one change on the Federal side that should be noted is that confiscated cameras will be crushed beneath the wheels of the wagons the mules pull.
Seriously- leave them in the car. We are going through a heck of a lot of effort and expense to place ourselves in some rugged country, away from civilization and the modern world. Keep a journal if you care to and snap all the "before and after" pictures you care to at the start/end point.
Hope everyone is getting preped. Don't show up and fall out and say you weren't warned to be ready.

Re: Cameras
Terry,
You are correct. The closest equivalent on the Federal side was a wagon wheel.
As many will recall from the t-shirt thread, OX will be modeling one of the small size shirts, both before and after the event. Having spent most of a week with him in a cargo van going to Rich Mountain and again to At High Tide, I can assure our kind readers that this man is a force of nature after a week with improper sanitation. Only the scent of rye whiskey fumes coming from Sean Harla kept us alive.

Re: Cameras
Well, for once in my life, it wasn't me who asked about cameras, but I'm glad to hear the policy. Perhaps in our civilian group, we could set them on fenceposts and Amos could use them for target practice with his shotgun. :D
