  • Camp Chase Piece by Cousin Phil

    All,

"Cousin Phil" McBride, a ground-pounding veteran of BGR who masterfully piloted his truck into some tough spots to evacuate hurt and ailing men through heat, cold, rain, and sun, has published a very nice write-up of Into the Piney Woods. It appears in the latest edition of the Camp Chase Gazette. Phil wrote a bang-up piece following BGR and has contributed another fine chapter chronicling Piney Woods.

I believe the printed copy has some images from the event so those after a souvenier may want to order a copy.

I found the article linked on their webpage as well, though it is sans pictures.

Thanks greatly Phil. I'm proud to be one of the "7%" and to have been surrounded for the better part of a week by folks of a like mind.

    Regards,
    Fred Baker

That article is finely written, Mr McBride. I also liked your Top Ten Things to Remember article.

Great article Phil. I sure hope there is a "3"!

I know it was a logistical and stressful nightmare for the organizers, but even if shortened was one of the best event and most memorable experiences.

        Thank you for that opportunity.
