Re: 4th Alabama
I am so glad y'all are taking time away from yourself and yours to plan this event. This is just the kind of event we all pine to attend. I put my check in the mail several days ago.

I've got a lot of research on the 4th Alabama if there is something you need.

Re: 4th Alabama
Guys,
I hate to sound like a stickler here, but on the Confederate Guidelines portion of The Race To Knoxville website, the webmaster has the photo incorrectly identified. That is Lafayette McLaws, not Evander McIvor Law. Now, this normally would not bother me so much except, I am an Alabamian and have done extensive research over the years on Law's Alabama Brigade. I just humbly suggest it be changed to reflect the correct individual. Evander Law was a lot more dapper a fellow than McLaws anyway!!! :)Attached Files[FONT="Book Antiqua"][B]Christopher P. Thank you for your input. If I figure out who the webmaster is, I surely will give him a good tongue lashing!
Please feel free to add any info that you may have. This forum is a wealth of knowledge and there is always room in my brain for education.
You are right about Law being more dapper.

Re: 4th Alabama
Greg,
Just out of curiosity....
I know the lay of the land pretty well because I marched in from the highway-side parking area during the mainstream event and made several trips across/around the property. How much marching should we prepare for? Those of you who are traveling a ways, it still gets rather cold in April...even though we're south of the Mason Dixon. Just wondering how light to pack. Thanks for the heads up!

Re: 4th Alabama
Luke,
I would suggest you bring no more than you might need and no less than you might need.
Just be prepared to move at a moments notice. We may cover the entire property trying to discover the federal positions and trying to take those positions.
Military guidelines will be followed the moment we go live.Greg S Barnett

Re: 4th Alabama
The 30 man line has been reached by Co G of the 4th Alabama. Therefor the company is closed at this point.
Capt Kiev Thomason is one heck of a recruiter.
There are 11 slots open for Jeff Noland's Co C. More of you fine men in East Tennessee need to fill the ranks (you know who you ar, Crockett!!)
Please email Sean Cooper or me if you have questions or concerns
Also, remember that registration fees are due by March 27th.Greg S Barnett

Re: 4th Alabama
I am extending the company G registration.
We will keep both companies open. Some adjustments may be made, but only after consulting individual registrants.
So keep'em coming.
