  • Next 150th Cycle Meeting Set for Remembrance Day

BROAD RUN, Va. Oct. 4 — A third meeting to discuss 150th Cycle Civil War reenactments has been scheduled for 4-6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 21 (Remembrance Day) in the Webster Room at the Gettysburg Hotel on the Square in Gettysburg, PA.

The meeting is a follow-up to the Aug. 23 conference in Winchester, VA coordinated by Southern Division Commander S. Christian Anders and attended by hobby leaders from New England to Ohio to North Carolina. “A lot of ground was covered in the last meeting, and I look forward to another. The attendance is growing as excitement for the 150th Cycle builds, and it is truly inspirational to see folks stepping up and taking ownership of their hobby,” said Anders, a veteran event organizer whose next reenactment, “Return to Manassas,” is slated for August of 2010.

Discussion is expected to revolve around revision of the Common Sense Resolution; the events proposed for the group’s “Five-Year Plan”; a manual of event mechanics; the division of event-related responsibilities among the various groups involved in the cycle; and land available for reenactments.

If you would like to attend this meeting, or need more information, please e-mail Laurel Scott at 150thcycle@gmail.com.
