A warm Merry Christmas greeting from your friends at WPS-2010!
We have spent the months prior to the holiday season honing our skills and event plan for the "With Pick & Spade - 2010" event in May 2010. WPS-2010 is a unique living history where we will depict a weekend in the life of a company of Confederate Engineers constructing siege implements during the early stages of the Petersburg Campaign. Living Historians will construct siege implements like gabions, CDF, fascines, skirmish pits, entanglements and abatis using period tools and techniques.
This month we have been practicing our gabion construction. Please take a look at the updated Event Vision page for more information on Gabions and CDF's including our step by step construction guides. Just a reminder that this event happens in a short 133 days! Registration is now open, so see the website for details.
Sincerely,
Brian McPeters
