Backwater 1865 - Company B, 63rd Indiana

Gentlemen

I would like to ask that all good union men join Company B of the 63rd Indiana for the 1865 Backwater event. My name is Jason Reinholz and I will be leading Company B. Joe Liechty has already agreed to serve as Orderly Sgt. for the company.

I can promise you that the company will be run in a military manner with the highest expectations for authenticity and first person. I also promise you that we will be very active that weekend We will be portraying veterans who after soon long see the end of the war within their grasp.

We already have members of Mess #1 and the ONV who have said they are joining Company B. I urge my fellow Northeners to join Company B and lets flush these rebels out of the Carolina Backwater and end this recent unpleasentness. If you have any questions please PM me or check out the website at

Hey Boys

Registration ends in less then one Month. Get those forms in as soon as you can. Adj. Eric Fair can't wait to fill out all of the paper work and send it to the propper channels. If you need a home and want to serve in a company that is going to enforce first person and work in a military manner, company B is your place.

Serve with us boys and we will chase Tripp all the way back to Jor'ga. We will also get to see if the Rebs eat as well at LBL as they did at Bummers???

Hmmm...sounds like I'll have to require everything in triplicate from Co. B to insure accuracy. :)

Seriously, I've served with Mssr. Reinholz on several occasions and Co. B is the place to go for accuracy, authenticity, and a good time.

I can't believe I'm actually saying that. Many of you boys will be wanting to go to an event in March But It will be too late when March swings around. Register now and have something to look forward to in a few months. Join Company B and help the boys from the ONV and Mess #1 give you a chance to complain about officers, orders and lack of sleep. Trust me gentlemen, you want Sgt. Liecty on your side and not as your enemy.

Time is running out to join Capt. Abraham's fine company. I know how he runs a company and I guarantee that you will not be disappointed! If you enjoy first person and serving in a well run military company, then this is the home for you. I have served in several companies commanded by Capt. Abraham and he has never let me down. I can't wait for this one.

Everyone, do to a prior offer I will not be able to join the ONV company. I can assure you that Mr. Abraham is one fine fellow and will make one heck of an officer. He will even arrest you and place you under gaurd:)!!!!!

It will be good to see both of you again in a few months and I am humbled by your words. I do want to echo that time is running out for Registration and you will not want to miss this one. I know its early in the season but the organizers need the numbers to put on a fine event and getting resgistrations in makes their job a little easier.(yet still a thankless job)

By the way Double D, at least you didn't mutiny, Ahum!!!!

We were insubordinate...we didn't mutiny!!!! :) That opportunity while serving with the 21st Mo. will probably be my only chance to do it and get away with it. I had to strike while the iron was hot (and Andy set us up perfectly for it--thanks!).
