    The WIG at Backwaters

    All,
    After talking with Brian Hicks, the WIG is going to attempt to rebuild the historic regiment. The last information on strength of the 57th Georgia stated that some companies had fewer than 12 in their ranks. If you are interested in commanding a "company" please contact me. It is my hope that we can fill the regiment, but realistically I know it is next to impossible to field 160 men, especially at an event that is going to demand serious physical conditioning.

    Good reading on this is "Hell's Broke Loose in Georgia" by Scott Walker. It's basically the story of the 57th based on first hand accounts, diary entries, etc.

      Pat,

      I really think 160 guys in good physical condition is a reasonable expectation. I say that because of the numbers that turned out for Bummers. This can be done.
