    Larry,
The fact that the prisoners at the fort were allowed to roam around freely might have something to do with Mr. Stumbling Bear and his cohorts lurking in the hills surrounding the fort.

Are the Commanches and Lipan Apaches required to pay registration fees? How about buffalo scalps? If anyone can find some pickled buffalo organs, it would be Commanches.

With Mr. Stumbing Bear and his cohorts lurking around in the mesquite, yaupon and black locusts, they will be a surly bunch for sure, and those will not be the ones to trifile with. Especially if you take stroll outside the protection of the Fort on one of those stary Texas nights. Mr Tom, I have heard accounts of the "Bayou Yeti" having been displaced to West Texas due to the continuous treat of hurricanes along Gulf Coast. Can you dispell any of these rumors? As your knowledge on this matter may help me decide if I will travel to West Texas or not. As I do not fear the wrath of the Appache nor Commanche as I fear the wrath of the "Yeti"..... So Mote It Be....

Larry, just remember that you must travel west to find Fort McKavett....not East.

          Wanted.

All ladies in Houston and surrounding counties who have cloth on hand, which they can spare, are requested to donate it to the ladies of Crockett for the purpose of making petticoats for the Minute Men of this county, who have "backed out" of the service. We think the petticoat more suitable for them in these times.

            Cody,
I have traveled to the East, and yes, you must travel to the West before you can go to the East.

A patrol was dispatched to the Kisatchie last week to scout for the Bayou Yeti and to do one final search for Colonel Sorchy's lost keys. That they have not been seen or heard from bodes poorly for their well being.

              Larry,
I believe there is a bridge across the Sabine, so traveling west should not be a problem for you.

                Uncle Tom,
I will show Larry the way. I have heard there could be gold somewhere West of Austin. And as I have a natural inclination towards the shiny substance, I will surely enjoy myself.
                Yours,
