  • Embroidered Goods for the 2nd Mississippi Infantry

    Gentlemen,

As some of you may know I am planning to produce some specialty items for our 2nd Mississippi Infantry impression. These include: white (silver) bullion stars, company letters, and Mississippi regulation officer straps.

The bullion stars for the regiment will be 2" from point to opposite point and on black felt. They will be silver bullion and look the design of the gold star pictured below.

The company Letters will be Gold bullion, will be 1" Tall on black felt and will be a copy of the American Engraver font (pictured below).

The officer's shoulder straps will be a copy of the Mississippi regs. They will have a dark blue velvet center, a single gold bullion boarder and the line officers (Capt. and 1st Lt.) will have stand alone gold bars (ie. - they wont touch the boarder). The size will be fairly close to standard Federal straps. They will be fairly similar to this rendition (Pictured below)

Ok, here is the deal... AND THIS IS THE IMPORTANT PART....

I WILL TAKE ORDERS UNTIL SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 12TH. On Monday February 13th the material used to make these will go in the mail.

I have known many of you for a VERY long time and I love each and every one of you. However, if I don't have your order by Feb. 12th YOU WILL NOT get to participate in this order. Period. Sorry, but this is a one time deal and I am holding off sending a production order for other goods until the 12th so we can have a chance to include these goods.

    Now for the bottom line...

    PRICING:

    2" Bullion Stars - $14.00/EA

    Company letters - $10.00/Each

Shoulder Straps - $30.00/Pair (Please stipulate what rank)

Shipping: YOU MUST ADD $4.00 TO YOUR TOTAL ORDER TO COVER SHIPPING.

IF YOU THINK THERE WILL BE SOME FOLKS IN YOUR COMPANY THAT WOULD LIKE A COMPANY LETTER OR STAR I WOULD ENCOURAGE YOU TO HAVE THEM PLACE AN ORDER AND/OR FOR YOU TO BUY A FEW EXTRA NOW AND RE-SELL THEM TO THE COMPANY AS THEY REGISTER. The idea here is to cover as many folks as possible for this one order.

I understand this isn't much time and I apologize for that. However, time is of the essence and I need to act as quickly as possible.

    PAYMENT:

PayPal will be the quickest and easiest way to make payment. My PayPal account is: craddock64@aol.com

I will also accept Money Orders. I WILL NOT accept personal checks. Money orders can be mailed to:

    The Craftsman's Apron
    c/o Patrick Craddock
    2169 Summer Hill Circle
    Franklin, TN 37064

If you are sending a MO I would encourage you to shoot me an e-mail to let me know what you are sending payment for, and TOTAL payment must be received BEFORE Monday Feb. 13th.

Finally, if you have any question I will do my best to answer them. I am excited about this project and with what you all are doing to make this a very memorable event!

      Gents,
Anyone have any extra of the silver bullion star that Mr. Craddock made back in Feb. that they are not using? I totally missed this thread back then. Thanks.
