I just posted a portion of Hugh Miller's account of the battle of Manassas. He mentions the O'Connors frequently you guys might find it interesting and useful.
That was a really awesome account. I am curious to see how all that maneuvering plays out in the actual scenarios. It was really interesting to read that the Captain had his own personal rifle. Where were you able to find this?

I purchased the material from the Mississippi Dept of Archives and History. The Hugh R. Miller collection is huge. In all, I have attained about 150 pages relating to Co. G. I also have Lt. Fontaine's account which I hope to transcribe soon. Fontaine's account is what evoked Miller to submit his account. Fontaine describes the rifle as being a Maynard, and worthless as well.
If you follow the link below you can see just how extensive this collection is, there is a link to the Appendix and it gives descriptions of literally thousands of Miller's documents.
