Much has been discussed in other post regarding hydration. But also keep in mind "Your Feet". Several years ago during the Port Gibson 03 Death March, there were more issues with 'feet" than there was with hydration after the first three miles.
Bottom line and to the point: Start preparing your feet. Prepare your boots/shoes/brogans.
