  • Musicians call-

    gentlemen,

We are looking to beef up our musicians for the regiment. Due to some dropouts and lack of communications with those promising to attend, we would like place a call for additional musicians. This will be for Field Music; Fife/Drum. Please get with me off line if you can attend. Registration is about 3 weeks from closing.

    Skip,
Is there any documentation on how big the field music were in the 2d? I drum, period correctly of course. How ever it is hard to do a period correct field music with only one drum. I have made contacts with a few guys but the aren't willing to do the campaigner side of this event due to their whole family going.

      Re: Musicians call-

Robert- There is no account of how big they were. I would like to have at least a couple drums, one bass, and some fifers. I have reached out to several groups, this is my attempt to get augmentees to a group that backed out of supporting us. I assume they are not coming because there isn't any reply to my emails. So with that I had to start over in the music department. For those companies bringing musicians we will consolidate for regimental formations. Lacking in the drum major or chief musician also.

          Re: Musicians call-

Its a shame. I am already committed to doing the event as Inf. with the Southern Division 4th Al. All the other musicians I know are also already committed. I suspect this will be a tough order to fill. Sorry I can't help.

              Re: Musicians call-

For the IV, you are going to Bugle for company B because you will most likely be the skirmish company per the accounts. You will just stay with the company. More focused on field music now and getting the numbers up.
